Rev. George Randall Lee

Hickox- Rev. George Randall Lee, 81, of Hickox was born May 29, 1931 and went to be with the Lord early Sunday morning (February 10, 2013) at his residence after an extended illness. Born in Hickox his parents were Randle Ephraim & Nancy Lois Hale Lee. He is also preceded in death by a sister, Evelyn Sabra Lee Keen Rev. George Lee was a retired minister and a member of Winokur Baptist Church. He was ordained as a minister November 6, 1955 and loved listening to Bluegrass and Bluegrass Gospel Music. In his early ministry Rev. Lee and his wife would sing and have music ministry on the radio. Rev. Lee also had a chicken farm, worked for Gilman Paper in St. Mary's, GA., Choo-Choo Supply in Waycross, GA. and was the owner/operator driver for Lumber Transport. Loved his family and friends and spending time fishing. Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Gertrude Warner Lee of Hickox; 2 sons & their wives, Anthony R. & Sandra Lee of Hortense and Harold E. & Brenda Lee of Lilburn, GA; 2 daughters & a son-in-law, Sharon & Groce Lowther of Folkston and Kathy Herrin of Hickox; a special "daughter", Melissa & Howard Bare of Nashville, GA; 9 Grandchildren, Cynthia Livingood of Wilmington, NC, Paul Lee of Athens, GA, Kristina Poole(Jim), Jason Lee of Hortense, Ed Lowther(Mary) of Nahunta, Melissa McCullough(Jimmy) of Homeland, Jamin Herrin of Valdosta, Bethany Lowther of Folkston and Jared Bare of Nashville, GA; 11 great grandchildren, Hunter Livingood, Caleb Lee, Gabriel Lee, Caroline Lowther, Lindy Lowther, Edie Lowther, Cassie McCullough, Rachel McCullough, Matthew Poole, Emma Poole and Kathryn Poole; a sister, Mildred Ingram of Hickox; a brother and sister-in-law, Aley & Myrle Lee of Hickox; and also several nieces, nephews and other relatives. Visitation will be held Monday evening (February 11, 2013) starting at 6PM at Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta. A funeral service will be held Tuesday afternoon (February 12, 2013) at 1PM at the chapel of Frye Funeral Home with Rev. E.C. Crews, Rev. Frank Jacobs, Rev. Leon Wilson and Rev. Wayne Manning officiating. Burial will follow in Winokur Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jamin Herrin, Caleb Lee, Jason Lee, Paul Lee, Ed Lowther, Hunter Livingood, Gabriel Lee and Cliff Adams.
