Rev. Timothy “Caleb” Crews, 25 of Nahunta, passed away early Monday morning (March 28, 2016) from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
Born in Brunswick, GA., his parents are Wiley Crews and Anita Rowell Crews, of Hickox. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Waudell Crews; his maternal great grandparents, Lyman and Margie Rowell, and George and Solena Steedley.
Caleb was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church, in Rentz, GA. He loved music, reading, watching movies, and bargain shopping. Caleb graduated from Brewton-Parker College with a Bachelor’s Degree in Ministry and was a member of the KTK Fraternity.
Survivors include his fiancé and the love of his life, Taylor Carter, of East Dublin, GA; his parents, Wiley and Anita Crews, of Hickox; his brother and sister-in-law, Chris and Angie Crews, of Hickox, his paternal grandmother, Lovie Crews, of Hickox; his maternal grandparents, Billy and Wanda Rowell, of Hickox; nephew and niece, Brett and Harley Ann Crews, of Hickox; aunts and uncles, Ronnie and Sue Crews, of Hickox, Billy and Mary Crews, of Ft. Walton Beach, FL., and Dean Rowell, of Hickox. Also several other relatives and cousins.
Visitation will be held Wednesday (March 30, 2016) starting at 6PM at Hickox Baptist Church.
Funeral Services will be held Thursday (March 31, 2016) at 11AM at Hickox Baptist Church with Rev. Jake Baum and Rev. Vance Colley officiating.
Burial will follow in New Hope Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Jason Crews, Alan Crews, Grant Crews, Colby Rowell, Morgan Rowell, Blake Conner, Collin Roney, Brandon Pope, and Andrew Tucker.
Honorary pallbearers will be KTK Fraternity and Brewton-Parker College.
Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
