Rhonda Lingerfelt Freund

Nahunta- Rhonda Lingerfelt Freund, 51 of Nahunta, passed away early Tuesday (January 2, 2024) at her residence following an extended illness.

Born in Johnson City, TN. her parents were Conley Lingerfelt and Nancy Nell Ayers Lingerfelt. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Christopher Stewart Lingerfelt.

Rhonda was a homemaker and attended Raybon Church of God of Prophecy. She enjoyed playing guitar, singing in Church, gardening and loved her pets and being outdoors.

Survivors include her husband, Lawrence Robert “Larry” Freund of Nahunta; son, Michael Johnston of Nashville, TN.; two daughters, Lauren Johnston of Hendersonville, TN, and Ashley Renee Lingerfelt, of Blackshear; one grandchild, Matthew Detty of Norfolk VA; two brothers and a sister-in-law, James Conley Lingerfelt of Wichita Falls, TX and Shawn Ayers Lingerfelt (Amanda) of Watauga, TX; and two sisters, Vanessa Kay Lingerfelt of Weatherford, TX and Pamela Gay Cox of Nahunta. Also several nieces, nephews other relatives and a host of friends.

Visitation will be held Friday (January 5, 2024) from 1PM-2PM at Raybon Church of God of Prophecy.

Funeral Services will be Friday (January 5, 2024) at 2PM at Raybon Church of God of Prophecy with Rev. Paul Rhoden officiating. Burial will follow in New Hope Cemetery.
