Richard Bryan Rushing

Brunswick- Richard Bryan Rushing, 56, of Brunswick, passed away Friday (October 29, 2021) at Southeast Georgia Health System in Brunswick, following a brief illness.
Born in Heidelburg, Germany, his parents are Sonny Rushing of Brunswick and the late Mary Kay Champey Rushing . He is also preceded by his maternal grandparents, Richard and Louise Champey, and a brother, David Rushing.
Bryan enjoyed fishing, hunting, watching westerns, traveling and just being outdoors, but most of all he loved spending time with his grandchildren. He worked many years as an Iron Worker for OCI Company before becoming disabled and he was of the Christian faith.
Survivors include a son, Joshua David Rushing, of Brunswick; a daughter, Kristen Marie Rushing, of Waynesville; 3 grandchildren, Jostan Eli Murphy, Cameron Jayce Smith, and David Cole Rushing; 3 brothers and their spouses, Christopher Basil Rushing (Shawn) of Brunswick, Alton Ira Rushing (Terri) of Waynesville, and Mallard Ward Rushing of Brunswick; 2 sisters and their spouses, Shelley Griffis (Brad) of Brunswick, and Kelly Drake (Alan) of Virginia. Also several other relatives and a host of friends.
Visitation will be held Saturday (November 6, 2021) starting at 2:30 P.M. at Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
Memorial service will be held Saturday (November 6, 2021) starting at 3 P.M. at Frye Funeral Home Chapel.
Due to COVID-19, we ask all to please follow the rules for social distancing, also face mask are highly recommended at the service. Anyone who does not feel comfortable with attending the service the family would like you to know they understand and covet your prayers.
