Richard 'Dick' Edward Hendricks

Atkinson – Richard E. “Dick” Hendricks, 78, of Atkinson passed away Tuesday morning (November 28, 2017) at his residence after a brief illness.

Born in Brunswick, GA his parents were Samuel Thomas Hendricks and Penny Lee Reynalds Hendricks. He is preceded in death by 2 brothers, Robert Lee Hendricks and Samuel Thomas Hendricks, JR.; and 2 sisters, Linda Deen and Mary Ellen Barlow.

He was an auto body shop man and worked in numerous cities and states and was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include his son and a daughter-in-law, Richard Thomas “Ricky” Hendricks (Michelle) of Montgomery, TX; a daughter and son-in-law, Cindy Cook (David) of Willis, TX; also several grandchildren and great grandchildren; his brother and sister-in-law, Clayton S. “Bo” Hendricks (Mary) of Atkinson; 4 sisters and brothers-in-law, Juanita Tompkins (Tom), Wannelle Williams (Stanley) all of Atkinson, Jackie Carlin (Jimmy) and Debbie Davis all of Brunswick; and also several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

The family will be having a private memorial.
