Brunswick - Richard "Ricky" Scott Taylor, 59, of Brunswick died Tuesday evening (August 25, 2015) at Archbold Medical Center in Thomasville, GA after an extended illness. Born in Tampa, FL his parents were the late Jack and Elsie Marie Lowe Harrell. He is also preceded in death by a daughter, Casey Taylor. Richard was an extraordinary carpenter that could build anything that you could describe to him and graduated from Brunswick High School in 1974. He loved to race his white Camero painted with green stripes, also known as the "Watermelon". Also he loved fishing on the Altamaha river and hanging out at the beach. Survivors include his 2 daughters, Tiffany Taylor and Tara Taylor both of Brunswick; a granddaughter, Harlow Wilson of Brunswick; 2 brothers and a sister-in-law, USMC Retired, John & Sandra Taylor of Decatur,AL, and Robbie McClelland of Palm Coast, FL; 3 sisters and brothers-in-law, Jacquie Evans, Mitzi & Lawton Tollison and Barbara & Jim DeLoach all of Brunswick; and also several nieces, nephews and other relatives. The family will hold a Celebration of Life service for Richard at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice of the Golden Isles, 1692 Glynco Parkway Brunswick, GA 31525.
