Brunswick – Richard Williams Thompson, 52, of Brunswick passed away Wednesday (September 16, 2020) at his residence after a brief illness.
Born in Brunswick, GA his parents are Virginia and Ronnie Hall of Brunswick. He is preceded in death by his wife, Brenda Sherry Lee Lane Thompson.
Richard was a plumber and attended Bay Harbor Brantley Church of God. He loved riding motor cycles, fishing, hunting and wood working.
Survivors include his 2 sons and a daughter-in-law, Phillip & Rebecca Thompson of Fort Myers, FL and Travis Thompson of Brunswick; a daughter, Vanessa Thompson (Matthew Ammons) of Shellman Bluff; a grandchild, Stella Thompson of Fort Myers, FL; his parents, Virginia & Ronnie Hall of Brunswick; 2 brothers and a sister-in-law, David Thompson (Lisa Cribbs) and Paul & Angie Hall all of Brunswick; 3 nephews, Johnathan Bunkley, Samuel Hall and Tommy Hall all of Brunswick; and also several aunts, uncles, and other relatives.
Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, the family asked that you follow the rules for social distancing. Also, if anyone who does not feel comfortable with attending the services, the family understands and ask you to be in prayer for our loved ones.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service Saturday (September 19, 2020) starting at 10am at H & T Cemetery, 8107 Longford Rd Jesup GA 31545.
A graveside service will be held Saturday morning (September 19, 2020) at 11am at H & T Cemetery (8107 Longford Rd Jesup GA 31545) with Rev. Tommy Gill officiating.
Pallbearers will be Travis Thompson, Samuel Hall, Johnathan Bunkley, Tommy Hall, Paul Hall, Josh Daniels, David Thompson and Frank Cribbs.
Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
