Hortense – Robert “Bob” Forrest Cline, 76, of Hortense passed away Saturday afternoon (January 23, 2016) at his residence after an extended illness.
Born in Cleveland, TN his parents were Thomas Henry and Elsie Mae Abernathy Cline. He is also preceded in death by his 5 brothers, William “Bill” Cline, Clarence Cline, Thomas Cline, James Cline, and Bishop Floyd Cline.
Bob served in the United States Army and the United States Marine Corp and was of the Methodist faith. He was an advertisement salesman in Nahunta for many years, a former light weight boxer and enjoyed painting.
Survivors include his special friend and companion of 11yrs, Mamie Brinkley of Hortense; 3 sisters, Louise Anderson of Iowa, Linda Abernackie of TN , and Barbara Taylor of FL; and also several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
A graveside service will be held Tuesday morning (January 26, 2016) at 10am at Highsmith Cemetery in Waynesville with Rev. Ion Johns officiating.
Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
