Robert Elomore Thomas

Darien-Mr. Robert "Bo" Elomore Thomas, Sr., 66, of Darien died early Friday morning (July 20, 2012) at his residence after an extended illness. Born in Fort Mead, Florida he was the son of the late Harry William and Lillie Mae Crosby Thomas. And was also preceded in death by 2-brothers, David Earl and Buddy Thomas, a sister, Ollie Mae Thomas. Mr. Thomas had worked for Glynn County for many years, then continuing with The Zuric United Water as a Maintenance worker Class III. He was of The Church of God faith. An avid fisher and hunter, he also enjoyed yard sales and collecting antiques. And was a very good gardener. Survived by his loving wife, Betty Elinda Lane Thomas, of Darien, a son and daughter-in-law, Robert E. Thomas, Jr. and Marie, of Darien, 3-daughters and a son-in-law, Tina Corey, Tracy Nazzrie, both of Waynesville, Robin and Greg Rowe, of Darien, Beloved nephew and his wife, Michael and Mary Brown, of North Ft. Meyers, FL,18-Grandchildren, 8-Great-Grandchildren, 8-sisters and brothers-in-law, Christine and Junior Moody, of Waynesville, Virginia and Ronnie Hall, of Brunswick, Evelyn and Bug Crosby, of Waynesville, Linda and Joey Harris, of Brunswick, Nancy McGee, of Austell, FL, Brenda and Robert Lowman, of Jacksonville, FL, Rita and Richard Daniels, of Lulaton and Marie and George Brandon, of Sebastian, FL, also several other nieces, nephews and other relatives. Visitation will be held Monday evening (July 23, 2012) starting at 6 P.M. at the Frye Funeral Home in Nahunta, GA. Graveside services will be Tuesday (July 24, 2012) at 11 A.M. from The Palmetto Cemetery in Brunswick, GA. With Rev. Clarence Rolling officiating. Pallbearers will be Gary Roy Corey, III, Robbie Goolsby, Phillip Smith, Ben Rowe, David Thomas, Adam Hagler, Adam Thomas and Jesse Parsell. Honorary Pallbearers are Staff of Heartland Hospice, Infusion Partners, Shuman Health Care, Terry Rozier, United Water Works, Joe Stone, Steve Butler, Dr. Walter Scott and Dr. Duane Moores.
