Folkston – Robert “Bobby” Gibson Hickox, Jr., 69, of Folkston passed away Monday evening (September 19, 2016) at Coffee Regional Medical Center in Douglas after an extended illness.
Born in McClenny, FL his biological parents were Robert Gibson Hickox, Sr., and Viola Crews Hickox, and his adopted parents were Riley and Mildred Crews.
Bobby was a machine operator for A.J.M. in Folkston and served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He was of the Pentecostal faith and enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Survivors include his wife Diane Grimes Hickox of Folkston; 2 daughters and sons-in-law, Denise & Phil Parker of Candia, NH and Katrina & Brad Driggers of Waycross; a son, David Hickox of O’Brien, FL; 3 grandchildren, Jakob Huggins, Harlee Driggers and Ridge Driggers all of Waycross; a sister and brother-in-law, Brenda & Joe Herrin of Waynesville; a brother, Walter Hickox of FL; 2 sisters-in-laws and brothers-in-law, Smitty and Patricia Stephens, of Callaway, Fl., and Ray and Betty Braswell, of Brunswick, GA., and also several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Visitation will be held Saturday morning (September 24, 2016) from 10am-11am at Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
A graveside service will be held Saturday morning (September 24, 2016) at 11:30am at Corinth Cemetery in Folkston with Bro. Clint Carter officiating.
Pallbearers will be Garrett Lentz, Derek Stephens, Brandon Stephens, David Stephens, Michael Braswell, and Dakota Kirkland.
The family will be receiving friends at the residence of Brad and Katrina Driggers; 40 Palmetto Path Waycross, GA 31503.
Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
