Robert Steven Watkins

Robert Steven Watkins, 45 of Nahunta, passed away early Thursday morning (August 20, 2015) at Southeast Georgia Health System in Brunswick following a short illness. Born in Fulton County, GA., his parents are the late, James Edward Watkins, Sr., and Barbara Townsend Ingram, of Waleska, GA. Along with his father, he was preceded in death by his stepfather, Charlie Ingram; and his brother, Jimmy Watkins. Robert was of the Baptist Faith. He worked as a Truck driver for Comcar Industries. He enjoyed fishing, going to the beach, shooting guns, boats, and gardening. Robert also loved the woods and walking through the swamp. His family was his pride and joy. Survivors include his wife, Jessica Martin Watkins, of Nahunta; a son, Robert Watkins, of Nahunta; two daughters, Linda Martin and Nera Watkins, both of Nahunta; a grandchild, Steven Martin, of Nahunta; his mother Barbara Ingram, of Waleska, GA; and his brother, Danny Watkins, of Hortense. Also several nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Visitation will be held Sunday evening (August 23, 2015) starting at 6PM, at Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta. Funeral Services will be held Monday (August 24, 2015) at 3PM at Frye Funeral Home with Rev. Jake Baum officiating. Burial will follow in Little Buffalo Creek Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Danny Watkins, Clint Watkins, Rick Hagen, William Green, Jonathon Newton, and Robert Fountain. Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
