Riverside Community- Mr. Robert T. "Bob" Copeland, 84, died late Sunday night (May 20, 2012) at his residence after an extended illness. Born in Jacksonville, Florida his parents were, George W. and Lula Clark Copeland. Mr. Bob was retired from the CSX Railroad as a Carman after 43 years, a member at The Riverside Chapel Baptist Church. Served in the United States Navy where he served as a Seaman on the U.S.S. New Orleans, U.S.S. Marlboro and Sub Group One, Florida Group. He also was a Scottish Rites Mason for 32 years and a member of The Masonic Lodge 313 in Jacksonville. Survived by his loving wife of 21 years, Jeanette St. Onge Copeland, of the Riverside Community, a son and daughter-in-law, Robert T. Copeland, Jr. and Faye, of Nashville, Tenn., 2-grandchildren, Christopher and Brandy Copeland, and 2-great-grandchildren, Mya and Nicholas Copeland,3-sisters, Elizabeth Rampino, Mabel Dean Harrell and Erma Jean Ganey, all of Jacksonville, FL., a step-daughter and her husband, Deborah and Mike Sawyer, of Callahan, FL, 2-step-sons, Charles Lucas, of Kansas City, MO, Steve and Cindy Lucas, also of Kansas City, MO., 6-step-grandchildren, LeAnn Williams, Chrissy Reese, Mandy and Amber Lucas, Josh Sawyer and Jenny Haines, 9-step-great-grandchildren, also several nieces, nephews and other relatives. Visitation will be held Wednesday evening starting at 6 P.M. at the Frye Funeral Home in Nahunta, Georgia. Graveside Funeral Services will be held Thursday afternoon (May 24, 2012) at 1 P.M. from the Pine View Cemetery on Cemetery Rd. in Folkston, GA., with Rev. Randy Wainright officiating.
