Robert Warren

Robert Warren, 79, son of the late Amos Benjamin Warren and Mattie Highsmith Warren, entered into rest Thursday evening (August 8, 2019) at Hospice of the Golden Isles following an extended illness.

Robert was a veteran of the United States Navy where he honed his culinary skills. Over the years he worked for several 4-Star restaurants and later retired from Baptist Village in Waycross, GA.

In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by his three brothers, James William Warren, Freddie Wilson Warren, and Bobby Ray Warren; and also by his sister, Josephine Warren.

He is survived by a sister, Dolly Warren Swilley (Don Lee) of Augusta, GA; two sons, Robert Edward Warren, Jr. (Wendi) of Wooster, OH and Carmine Michael Warren (Lynette) of Orlando, FL; 2 daughters, Michelle Muir (Gene) of Saugus, MA and Ariel Christopher of Lynn, MA; a very devoted grandson, Bobby Johns (Elaine) of Brunswick, GA; a stepson, Roger Johns; and his former wife and good friend, Carmen Mercurie.

A memorial service will be held Saturday (November 2, 2019) at 10AM at the Chapel of Frye Funeral Home.
