Robin Crews Batten

Robin Crews Batten, 63 of Nahunta, passed away Sunday (July 28, 2024) at her residence following an extended illness.

Born in Folkston, GA., her parents were Ervin Crews and Thelma Kizzie Thrift Crews. She was also preceded in death by her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Bob Batten and Bashie Elois Batten; 3 sisters, Debbie Forrester, Elaine Crews and Dianne Griffin; a brother, Lavon Crews; sister-in-law, Diane Crosby; brother-in-law, Dennis Batten; 2 nieces, Sheila Miller and Sheryl Lemuz.

Robin was a homemaker and a lifelong member of Riverside Chapel Baptist Church. She enjoyed crocheting, shopping, cooking and singing. She also loved spoiling her grandbabies.

Survivors include her husband, David Batten; two sons and daughters-in-law, Robbie Batten (Ashleigh) and Randy Batten (Jennifer); two daughters and sons-in-law, Becky O’Berry (Chris) and Nicole Popwell (Travis); 9 grandchildren, Nathan Hunt (Hannah), Mason Batten, Kenzie Batten, Rod Batten, Kaelyn Batten, Braylon Hunt, John Ross O’Berry, Ella Kate O’Berry and Hudson Popwell. Also several nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.

Visitation will be held Tuesday evening (July 30, 2024) from 6PM-8PM at Riverside Chapel Baptist Church.

A Funeral Service will be held Wednesday (July 31, 2024) at 11AM at Riverside Chapel Baptist Church with Rev. Randy Wainright and Rev. Tom Kennedy officiating.

Burial will follow in Riverside Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Rod Batten, Braylon Hunt, Wallace Crews, Andy Jones, Marty Crews, Terry Griffin, Joey Crawford, Nathan Hunt, Ricky Batten and Kenny Crawford.

Honorary pallbearer will be Matias Lemuz.

Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
