Ronald Ray Hudson

Ronald Ray Hudson, 66, of Hortense died Wednesday afternoon (April 7, 2010) at Wayne Memorial Hospital in Jesup after a long battle with cancer. Born in Long Acre, West Virginia his parents were Golden Earl and Freida Pauley Hudson. He is also preceded in death by 2 brothers and a sister-in-law, Donald & Pat Hudson and Dewitt Hudson. Ronald retired from the U.S. Navy after 22 years of service and retired in 1985 from the U.S. Postal Service in Brunswick. He enjoyed fishing and metal detecting. He is survived by his wife of 46yrs, Annell Hudson of Hortense; 2 sons and daughters-in-law, Tim & Rhonda Hudson of Hortense and Scott & Lara Hudson of Middleburg, FL;3 brothers and a sisters-in-law, Bobby Hudson and Mickey Hudson both of Oak Hill, WV, Terry & Missy Hudson of Mt. Pleasant, NC and Nellie Hudson; 2 sisters and a brother-in-law, Kathy Humphrey of Oak Hill, WV and Jenny & James Russell of Fayetteville, WV; also several grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives. A memorial service will be held at a later date in West Virginia. Memorialization will be by cremation. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
