Ronnie Leonard Poole

Hortense – Ronnie Leonard Poole, 70, of Hortense, passed away Tuesday evening (October 15, 2024) at his residence under the care of Heartland Hospice surrounded by his family.

Born in Ludowici, Ga., his parents were Leo Carlton Poole, Jr. and Mondarea Barrow Poole. He is also preceded in death by a granddaughter, Ashlyn Poole; mother-in-law, Geraldine Gest.

Ronnie is a U.S. Army Veteran. He was employed and highly sought after as a motor winder technician. He was a jack of all trades and an avid fisherman.

Survivors include his wife of 37 years, Christine Ann Gest Poole of Hortense; a son and daughter-in-law, Steven Poole (Melissa) of Christiansburg, VA.; a granddaughter, Kaitlyn Tester (Trey) of Christiansburg, VA.; 3 sisters and a brothers-in-law, Gwen Howard (Wayne) of Hazlehurst, GA., Janice Wilkes of Walthourville, GA., Patty Moss (Dennis) of Hinesville, GA.; special furry friend, Bear; Also several nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.

A private Memorial service will be held at a later date.
