Roy Nelson Howland, Sr.

Nahunta- Roy Nelson Howland, Sr., 90 of Nahunta, passed away Monday (May 24, 2021) at his residence following an extended illness.

Born in Littleton, NH., his parents were Maurice Howland and Alice Portique Howland. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Gloria Davis Howland; his grandson, Roy Eagan; and his brother, Andrew Howland.

Roy served in the United States Army and worked many years as a Truckdriver. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening, and raising chickens.

Survivors include his 3 sons and a daughter-in-law, Roy Howland, II, of Nahunta, Maurice Howland (Sue), of Littleton, NH., and Oscar Howland, of Nahunta; 3 daughters, Betty Durden, of Nahunta, Tina Corrigan, also of Nahunta, and Holly McIntyre, of Daytona Beach, FL; 16 grandchildren; 42 great grandchildren; 1 brother, Oscar Howland, of Nahunta; his brother-in-law, Robert Seeley, of Hoboken; and his loving dog “Puppy”. Also several nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held Friday (May 28, 2021) at 2PM at his residence; 1455 Caney Bay Rd. Nahunta, GA 31553.
