Ruth Eliza Lee Wainright

Bachlott - Ruth Eliza Lee Wainright, 84 of Bachlott community died Saturday evening (July 25, 2015) at Mayo Clinic Health System after an extended illness. Born in Hoboken, GA her parents were Frank Thomas and Martha Dixon Lee. She is also preceded in death by a daughter, Martha "Gail" Wainright; sister, Mildred Hickox; a brother, Herman Lee; and 2 brothers-in-law, Billy Hickox and James Douberly. Mrs. Ruth was a homemaker and had worked many years with her loving husband in their family Business "Wainright W.J. & Son Meat Curing Plant" before her health caused her retirement an was a member of Oak Grove Primitive Baptist Church. She also loved spending time with her family tending to her flower beds. Her smile will be missed by many. Survivors include her husband of 61yrs, Wilson Wainright of Bachlott; 3 sons and daughters-in-law, Bruce & Paula Wainright of Hickox, Larry & Vera Wainright of Hoboken, and Troy & Rhonda Wainright of Hickox; a daughter and son-in-law, Patricia & Derek Mallard of Waycross; 13 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; 4 brothers and sisters-in-law, John Thomas & Adelyn Lee of Waycross, David Jonathan "Johnny" & Delores Lee of Hoboken, Eddie G. & Juanita Lee Waycross, Billy J. & Barbara Lee of Waycross; a sister, Anna Sue Douberly of Thomasville; a sister-in-law, Connie T. Lee of Hoboken; and also several nieces, nephews and other relatives. Visitation will be held Monday evening (July 27, 2015) starting at 6pm at Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta, GA. A funeral service will be held Tuesday afternoon (July 28, 2015) at 2PM at Oak Grove Primitive Baptist Church with Elder Eddie Lee officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Roger Crews, Robert Drawdy, Greg Lee, Sidney Lee, Cary Lee and Richard Lee. Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta, GA.
