Hortense- Sallie "Ann" Davis Morgan, 66 of Hortense, passed away Wednesday morning (August 29, 2012) at her residence following an extended illness. Born in Jacksonville, FL., her parents were William Henry Jr., and Sarah McCullars Davis. She is also preceded in death by 2 brothers, Jerry and Buddy Davis, and a sister, Sandra Davis. Ann was a homemaker, and a member of The Pottersfield Church. She loved doing Carpentry work, playing the piano, and singing. Survivors include her husband, Huey Morgan, of Hortense; 2 sons, John Henry, of Orlando, FL; and Paul Tetloe, of Jacksonville, FL; 4 daughters and sons-in-law, Brenda Henry, of Jacksonville, FL; Teresa Langley, of Tifton, and Sarah and Wayne Flake, of Hoboken, Mary and Wayne Taylor, of Mt. Vernon; a brother and sister-in-law, Billy and Debbie Davis, of Hortense; 3 sisters and a brother-in-law, Marie and Howard Tucker, of Ty Ty, Linda Duffy, of Hortense, and Susan Morgan, of Hortense; and 10 grandchildren, and 15 great grandchildren. Also several nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Visitation will be held Friday evening ( August 31, 2012) from 6PM-9PM, at Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta. A Funeral Service will be held Saturday morning ( September 1, 2012) at 11AM, at Frye Funeral Home, with Rev. Billy Mathis and Rev. Clayton Davis officiating. Burial will follow at Hargraves Cemetery, in Millwood. Pallbearers will be Billy Davis, Bobby Daughtry, Eddie Hall, Wayne Flake, Caleb Flake, and William Underwood, and Gene Daughtry. Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta. Sympathy may be expressed by signing our online registry at fryefh.com.
