Sandra Ann Dixon Skipper, 46, of Nahunta died Wednesday afternoon (September 22, 2010) at Memorial University Medical Center in Savannah after a brief illness. Born in Alma , GA her parents were Simon Dixon and Juanita Purdom Haynes. She is also preceded in death by two brothers, Kenneth Larry Smith and Russell Smith. Sandra was a homemaker who lived most of her life in Nahunta and attended United Pentecostal Church in Brunswick. Also she enjoyed needle point and was a blessing to be around and an all around people person. Survivors include her husband William "Bill" A. Skipper of Nahunta; a brother, Wallace Smith of Nahunta; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Merlene & A.J. Crosby and Clarice & Ben Lang all of Nahunta; and also several nieces, nephews and other relatives. Visitation will be held Friday evening (September 24, 2010) starting at 6:00m P.M. at Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta. A funeral service will be held Saturday afternoon (September 25, 2010) at 2:00 P.M. at Frye Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Charles Florey and Rev. Tim Rowell officiating. Burial will follow in Smyrna Cemetery, Nahunta. Pallbearers will be Michael Lee, Billy Ray Harris, Anthony Lee, Roy Highsmith, Jr., Benjamin Lang and Jason Highsmith.
