Sarah Baker

Waynesville-Sarah Morris Baker, 62, of Waynesville passed away early Monday morning (June 26, 2017) at her residence after an extended illness.

Born in Brunswick, Ga. Her parents were Peewee Rodenberry and Merna Nelson Roddenberry. She is also preceded by a sister, Gail Underwood.

Sarah was a homemaker and loved her grandbabies and family very much.

Survivors include her husband , Gene Baker; 2 daughters and a son-in-law, Katherine Spores of Alma, Ga. and Amber Lawrence (Shawn) of Hoboken, Ga.; 7 grandchildren, Kenny Baker, Curtis Baker, Cheyenne Baker, Karah Lawrence, Daylan Lawrence, Faith Lawrence and Layla Lawrence; 3 brothers and sisters-in-laws, Jack and Geneva Morris, George and Debbie Morris, and Lee and Janie Roddenberry all of Brunswick, Ga.; 1 sister, Patsy Long of Brunswick, Ga. Also several nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Visitation will be held Tuesday (June 27, 2017) starting at 6PM at Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.

A graveside service will be held Wednesday morning (June 28, 2017) at 11:00AM at Mt. Olive Cemetery in Waynesville, Ga. with Rev. Horace Godfrey officiating.

Pallbearers will be Henry Baker, Kenny Baker, Curtis Baker, Shawn Lawrence, Bear Hann, and Michael Baker.

Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
