Nahunta – Scott Lanier Dean, 56, of Nahunta passed away Thursday evening (August 11, 2016).
Born in Blackshear, GA. His mother is Camalee Wilson of Nahunta and his father is Wilbur Ellis Dean of Waynesville.
Scott was a painter for Painting by Hand and attended Waynesville Church of God. He also enjoyed playing guitar, throwing darts with his sons-in-law and friends, and swimming with his grandbabies.
Survivors include his 2 daughters and Sons-in-law, Amy Dean Campbell (Ron)and Whitley Dean Bowers (Brandon)all of Waynesville;6 Grandchildren, Hunter Wainright, Holdyn Wainright, Daisy Wainright, Cory Griffin, Branson Bowers, and Jaylee “Baby Jay” Bowers; his mother, Camalee Wilson of Nahunta; his father, Wilbur Dean of Waynesville; brother and sister-in-law, Rev. Bruce & Debbie Dean of Raybon; Niece, Jeannie Pittman(Rodney) of Hortense; nephew, Ellis Dean of Raybon;2 great nieces; 1 great nephew; 2 special cousins, Chris Wilson (Jennifer) and Jeffery Wilson all of Nahunta; and also several aunts, uncles, and other relatives.
Visitation will be held Sunday evening (August 14, 2016) from 6pm-9pm at Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
A funeral service will be held Monday afternoon (August 15, 2016) at 3PM at the Chapel of Frye Funeral Home with Rev. Harold Hand and Rev. Ion Johns officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Chris Wilson, Jeffery Wilson, Ron Campbell, Brandon Bowers, Glenn Hendrix, Travis Kicklighter, Ron Strickland, and Robbie Cleland.
Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
