Selma Josephine Rowell

Twin Rivers – Mrs. Selma Josephine Miller Rowell, 88, of Twin Rivers Community passed away Saturday morning (November 21, 2020) at Harborview Jesup after an extended illness.

Born in Jacksonville, FL her parents were Leo Miller and Mary Dunn Miller. She is also preceded by her husband, Rufus “R.T.” Tillman Rowell; a daughter, Joan Dianne Rowell; and 2 sons, Kerry “Burp” Eugene Rowell and Kevin Andy Rowell.

Mrs. Selma was a homemaker and a member of Twin Rivers Missionary Baptist Church. She loved gardening, working in her flowers, sewing and cooking.

Survivors include her 3 sons and daughters-in-law, Stanley Nolan Rowell of Brunswick, Robert Steve Rowell (Wanda) and Jack Eric “ Charlie” Rowell (Christy) all of Twin Rivers; many grandchildren and many great grandchildren; and also several nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.

A private graveside will be held at Raulerson Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Kaleb Rowell, Patrick Rowell Tyler Rowell, Cason Oliver, Noel Rivera Perez, Matthew Rowell and Nolan Rowell.

Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
