Jesup-Simon Lee Anderson, 61 of Jesup, passed away Thursday (January 10, 2013) at his residence following an extended illness. Born in Folkston, GA. his parents were Simon Peter and Adelaide Drury Anderson. He is also preceded in death by a sister, Paullette Douglas. Simon was of the Holiness Faith. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War, he loved flying , hand gliding and riding motorcycles. Simon was one that kept it going, he could make you smile with his sense of humor. Survivors include a son, Christopher Anderson, of Offerman; 2 step-sons, David Wolkowsky, of Ft. Pierce, FL, and Randall Mims, of Offerman; 4 grandchildren, Dallas, R.J., Chris, and Elizabeth, all of Offerman;2 sisters and brothers-in-law, Sharon and Jessie Boleman, of Jesup, Pam and James Bodamer, of Darien; a brother and sister-in-law, Kenny and Cille Anderson, of Lake Whale's, FL., and a best friend, Ramona Wolkowsky Anderson, of Ft. Pierce, FL. Also several nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Visitation will be held Sunday (January 13, 2013) from 12 PM-2 PM, at Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta. A Funeral Service will be held Sunday (January 13, 2013) at 2 PM at Frye Funeral Home Chapel with Pam Bodamer speaking. Burial with Military Honors will follow in the Hortense Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Ricky O'Neal, James Bodamer, Ernest Frye, Randall Mims, David Wolkowsky, and Josh Knight. Honorary pallbearers will be Joe O'Neal and Jessie Dean Boleman. Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta. Sympathy may be expressed by signing our online registry at fryefh.com.
