Hickox-Stanley Allison Herrin, 70 of Hickox, passed away Sunday evening (June 15, 2014) at his residence following an extended illness. Born in Homerville, GA his parents were Perry Osceola Herrin and Stella Mae Pittman Herrin Cleland. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Perry Lee Herrin; and a sister, Patricia Lee Herrin. Stanley retired from Brantley County Road Department as the Shop Manager. He loved fishing, hunting, family, spending time with his grandchildren, and reading, he was of the Baptist Faith. Stanley also served in the United States Air Force. Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Lucy Hassan Herrin, of Hickox; 2 sons and daughters-in-law, Perry S. Herrin (Lynette), of Hickox, Scott S. Herrin (Pamela), of Hickox; 4 grandchildren, Brandee Herrin, of Nahunta, Kolby Herrin, of Waycross, Bailey Herrin, of Hickox, and Jenna Herrin, also of Hickox; 3 great grandchildren, Harlee Chapman, Jayden Thrift, and Logan Wimberly; 3 brothers and a sister-in-law, Jerry Herrin (Linda), of Winokur, Grover Herrin, of Waycross, and Roger Herrin, of Hoboken; 2 sisters and a brother-in-law, Juanita Crews, of Raybon, and Linda Dowling (Robert), of Nahunta. Also several nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Visitation will be held Tuesday (June 17, 2014) starting at 6PM at Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta. A Funeral Service will be held Wednesday (June 18, 2014) at 11AM at Frye Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Altman officiating. Burial will follow in New Hope Cemetery. Pallbearers will be David Lake, Jason Thrift, Robert Horan, Jim Harris, Ken Clark, and Mark Shuman. Honorary pallbearers will be Tommy Steedley and Stevie Hendrix.
