Stanley Foster Williams

Stanley Foster Williams, 76, of Hortense passed away Friday, June 7, 2024, at his residence after an extended illness. Born in Rock Springs, GA, his parents were Leonard Byrd Williams and Berta Lynn Ballard Williams and lived here since the early 1960’s.

Mr. Williams worked for Hercules for many years. He was all about family and especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mr. Williams always dressed well and could fix anything.

Along with his parents he was preceded in death by one son, Leonard “Bud” Williams, II; one brother, Gary Williams; one sister, Vicki Williams.

Survivors include his wife, Wannell Hendricks Williams of Hortense; one son and daughter-in-law, Ronnie and Kristin Williams of Waynesville; four grandchildren, Trenton Foster Williams of Waycross, Codie and Richie Douberly of Wayne County, Gage and Cassie Williams of Waynesville, and Remy Nichole Williams of Waynesville; three great-grandchildren, Emma, Daniel, and Caroline; one brother and sister-in-law, Tim and Beth Williams of Camden County; several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Visitation will be held Wednesday afternoon (June 12, 2024) starting at 1 pm at Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.

A funeral service will be held Wednesday afternoon (June 12, 2024) at 2 pm at Frye Funeral Home Chapel, Nahunta with Jimmy Carlin officiating. Burial will follow in Knox Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Ronnie Williams, Trenton Williams, Gage Williams, Sammy Hendricks, Randy Hendricks, and Joe Parker.

Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
