Jesup – Mrs. Stephanie Lynn Manning Wainright, 48, of Jesup passed away Monday morning (March 14, 2016) at her residence after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born in Jesup, GA her parents are Rev. Wayne and Dianne Lewis Manning, Sr. of Jesup. She is preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Corbett and Ethel Manning; her maternal grandparents, Spencer “Bunt” and Evelyn Mobley Lewis; and her mother-in-law, Louise Wainright.
Mrs. Stephanie was a system administrator for Pierce County Health Department for many years and a member of Riverside Chapel Baptist Church. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter and friend, who loved singing, hanging out at home, working with her flowers, spending time with her family and just loved helping and being around people.
Survivors include her husband of 25 years, Rev. Randy Wainright, Sr. of Jesup; a son, Randy “Liston” Wainright, Jr.(Torie Johns) of Jesup; 2 daughters and a son-in-law, Kandace Dianne Hickox (Eric) of Martin, GA and Spenser Lynn Wainright of Jesup; a granddaughter, Stella Louise Wainright of Jesup, GA; her parents, Rev. Wayne and Dianne Lewis Manning, Sr. of Jesup; a brother and sister-in-law, Wayne “Rooster” Manning, Jr. (Debbie) of Jesup; 2 sisters and brothers-in-law, Sheila “Bug” Brockington (Donald) of Jesup and Becky Giddens (Josh) of Folkston; her maternal grandmother, Bonnell Lewis of Jesup; and also several special aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Visitation will be held Wednesday evening (March 16, 2016) starting at 6pm at Riverside Chapel Baptist Church.
A funeral service will be held Thursday afternoon (March 17, 2016) at 2PM at Riverside Chapel Baptist Church with Rev. Wayne “Rooster” Manning, Jr., Rev. Don Patterson, Rev. Kipp Manning, Rev. Charles Florey and Rev. Cliff Adams officiating. Burial will follow in Manningtown Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Corbett Brockington, Kyle Giddens, Cole Giddens, Jake Brockington, Darwin Lewis, Christopher Harris, Drew Harris, and Brian Lee. Honorary Pallbearers will be her present and former coworkers of Pierce County Health Department and the staff of Hospice of Georgia.
