Steven Wayne Miller

 Tallahassee- Steven Wayne Miller, 65 of Tallahassee, passed away Tuesday (October 1, 2024) at Tallahassee Memorial Healthcare following an extended illness.

Born in Pascagoula, MS. His parents were the late Steve D. Miller and Leslie Jeannette Spaulding Miller. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Leslie Clyde Miller; and a sister, Cynthia Annette Miller.

Steven served in the United States Army and enjoyed fishing, watching Georgia Football, building, planting flowers. He loved his dogs and his chickens.

Survivors include his two children, Steven James and Sarah James; several grandchildren; two sisters, Karen J. Mathis and Stephanie Lassiter, both of Waynesville; three nieces, Amanda Mathis, Christina McKenzie, Daisy Lassiter, all of Waynesville; three nephews, Dustin Holzman, of Waynesville, Colby Lassiter, of Illinois, and Gregory Miller, of Waynesville. Also several other relatives and a host of friends.

Visitation will be held Wednesday (October 9, 2024) from 10:30AM-11AM at Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.

Funeral Services will be held Wednesday (October 9, 2024) at 11AM at the Chapel of Frye Funeral Home with Rev. Tim Rowell officiating.

Burial will follow in Mt. Olive Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Dustin Holzman, Terri Betts, Zachary Cook, Steven Cook, M.J. Hester and Aaron Dixon. 

Honorary pallbearers will be Noah Holzman and Landen McKenzie.

Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
