Waynesville – Stewart Johnson Wiggins, III, 62, of Waynesville passed away Thursday evening (May 24, 2018) at his residence after a brief illness.
Born in Brunswick, GA his parents were Stewart Johnson Wiggins, II and Elrich Crews Wiggins. He is also preceded in death by his grandparents, Alma Pierce Omick and Julia Wiggins; a sister, Mary Wiggins Clark; an aunt, Virginia Omick; a uncle, Henry Wiggins; and a nephew, Scott Douberly.
Stewart served in the United States Navy and was a retired Corpsman. He enjoyed photography, trains, electronics, flying stunt kites, watching NASCAR, and the Sons of Confederate Veterans.
Survivors include his wife, Bonnie Lee Gagnon Wiggins of Waynesville; a daughter, Jennifer Wiggins Anderson (Alex) of Blackshear; a grandchild, Casey Hugh Anderson of Blackshear; 2 sisters, Sandra Wiggins and Barbara Wiggins Logue (Enie) all of Waynesville; and also several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service Thursday afternoon (May 31, 2018) starting at 1PM at Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
A funeral service will be held Thursday afternoon (May 31, 2018) at 2PM at Frye Funeral Home with Rev. Ritchie Self, Rev. Jimmy Davis, and Rev. Tom Lavender officiating. Burial will follow in Wiggins Cemetery with military honors.
Pallbearers will be Russell Presley, Sherman Tomlinson, Paul Morgan, Jimbo Jones, Clarence Douberly, and Jack Cathcart.
The Family will be receiving friends at Barbara Logue residence, 6642 Browntown Rd Waynesville, GA 31566.
Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
