Waynesville- Susie Watson Quinn, 83, of Waynesville died Thursday evening (February 20, 2014) at her residence after an extended illness. Born in Pansey, Alabama, her parents were Melvin and Ruth Lunsford Watson. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Bill Eugene Quinn; a brother, Jacob Watson; and 2 sisters, Magalene Brooks and Eleanor Fleming. Susie moved to Florala, AL where she graduated from Florala High School. She then graduated from nursing school in New Orleans. She was a RN for Lyod Nolan Hospital and a long time residence of Midfield, AL before moving to Waynesville, GA. Also she was a member of the United Methodist Church in Nahunta, the United Methodist Women and the Red Hats of Brunswick. Mrs. Susie also loved cooking and reading. Survivors include her 3 sons and daughters-in-law, Bill & Jackie Quinn of Alabama, Terry & Donna Quinn of Waynesville, and Daniel & Pat Quinn of Jacksonville, FL; 7 Grandchildren; 14 Great Grandchildren; and also several nieces, nephews and other relatives. A memorial service will be held Sunday (February 23, 2014) at 2PM at the United Methodist Church in Nahunta with Rev. Bruce Morgan officiating. Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
