Sylvia V. "Sib" Johns, 62, of Nahunta died early Friday morning (March 5, 2010) at her residence after an extended illness. Born in Brantley Co, her parents were Chess and Alice Harris Herrin. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Virgil Johns; 2 brothers, Carroll "Jinx" Herrin and Terry "Tag" Lee Herrin; and a sister, Chloe Mae Herrin. Sib was the owner of Gold House Apartments and use to own and operate The King Fish Lounge in Raybon. She also served on the Nahunta City Council and loved collecting angels. She is survived by a daughter and her fiancé, Alisha Johns & Todd Spivey of Nahunta; a son, Gene Solano of Nahunta; a sister, Shirley Herrin of Nahunta; her loving pet, Jacob; and several other relatives and many friends. Visitation will be held Saturday evening ( March 6, 2010) starting at 6 PM at Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta. Funeral service will be held Sunday afternoon (March 7, 2010) at 2 PM at the Chapel of Frye Funeral Home with Rev. Frank Jacobs and Rev. Leon Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery, Raybon. Pallbearers will be Tommy Purdom, Gene Solano, Chris Boatright, Kerry Mathie, Kleve Mathie and John Ruesga.
