Terry Jacobs

Waynesville-Raymond "Terry" Jacobs, 62 of Waynesville, passed away Monday (February 10, 2014) at his residence following a brief illness. Born in Waynesville, GA., his parents were Raymond E. and Elsie Courson Jacobs. He was also preceded in death by a son, Andrew Scotty Jacobs; and 4 sisters, Barbara Leasure, Annette Skipper, Nelda Weiss, and Shirley Dowling. Terry was a member of Waynesville Baptist Church. He was a retired Supervisor for the Georgia Department of Transportation. He was also in the United States National Guard, and loved hunting and fishing. Survivors include his fiancé, Julie Miles, of Waynesville; his son and daughter-in-law, Dereck Jacobs (Alecia); 2 sisters and a brother-in-law, Vicki Douberly (Richard), of Hortense, and Judy Jones, of Gillsville, GA. Also several nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Visitation will be held Wednesday evening (February 12, 2014) at 6PM, at Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta. A Funeral Service will be held Thursday morning (February 13, 2014) at 11AM at Bay Harbour Brantley Church of God with Rev. Tommy Gill officiating. Burial will follow in the Highsmith Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Mitchell Crooms, William Toler, Jr., Mac Lipthratt, Todd Douberly, Roger Johnson, and Kelly Blain. Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
