Thomas Christopher Jones

Valdosta-Thomas Christopher "Chris" Jones, 40 of Valdosta, passed away Tuesday (August 5, 2014) at his residence following a brief illness. Born in Winter Haven, FL., his parents are Brenda A. Forrister Fones and the late Thomas Eugene Jones. He was also preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, William James Franklin Forrister and Ruby May Kennedy Forrister; and paternal grandparents, Noah and Ruby Jones. Chris worked many years for Forrister &Sons Fencing Company. He loved woodworking, riding his bike, fishing, and rollerblading in his younger years. Survivors include his mother, Brenda Forrister Fones, of Nahunta; special companion, Lawanda Howard, of Valdosta; 2 sons, Blake Coody, Dustin Bullard; both of Valdosta; 3 grandchildren; a brother and sister-in-law, Randall Steven Fones (Sandra), of Nahunta; 4 aunts &their spouses, Mary Williams (Arlo), of Jacksonville, FL., Rebecca Jewell Warren, of Groveland, FL., Weltha Kay Cannon, of Ocoee, FL., Barbara Carbe (Dino), of Australia; 8 uncles and their spouses, James Forrister (Barbara) of Adrian, GA, Daniel Forrister (Rita) of Nahunta, Lamar Forrister, Richard Forrister (Debbie), of Nahunta, Clinton Forrister (Russela), of Nahunta, Lamar Jones (Rosita) , James Lee Jones, and Bobby Jones, all of Eagle Lake, FL. Also several other relatives. A Graveside Service will be held Friday (August 8, 2014) at 10AM at Five Oaks Cemetery with Mary Williams and Rev. Charles Florey officiating.
