Thomas Joel “T.J.” Herrin, 61 of Twin Rivers Community, passed away Wednesday night (May 4, 2016) at his residence following an extended illness.
Born in Jesup, GA., his parents were Joel Herrin and Mary Dunn Herrin. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Buster Miller.
He was a one of a kind husband, daddy, papa, and friend. He was loved by many, and will be missed by all who knew him, his legacy will live forever. T.J. was a member of Twin Rivers Missionary Baptist Church, and also a member of Forks of the River Hunting Club, Masonic Lodge of Nahunta # 391, and Masonic Lodge of Hoboken # 740.
Survivors include his wife, Carol Herrin, of Twin Rivers; his children, Christie Herrin (Colt Hand), and Josh Herrin, both of Trudie; four grandchildren and their spouses, Candice Bullard (Spencer), Casi Claxton (K.C.), Cayla Hand (Jesse Roberson), and Harlee Willis; seven great grandchildren, T.J. Bullard, Colt Claxton, Wrangler Layton, Hunter Claxton, Bayla Flowers, Jessleigh Roberson, and Jeston Roberson.
Visitation will be held Friday (May 6, 2016) from 1-2PM at Frye Funeral Home.
A Graveside Service with Masonic Rights will be held Friday (May 6, 2016) at 2:30PM at Twin Rivers Baptist Church Cemetery in Hortense with Rev. Jack Sinclair and Bro. Bobby Miller officiating.
Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
