Hortense- Mr. Thomas Jerrell "Limo" Moody, 60, of Hortense died suddenly Saturday night (June 25, 2011) at his residence from injuries sustained in a house fire. Born in Jesup, GA his parents were Membrey Arvelle and Mattie Jane Lee Moody. He is also preceded in death by a daughter, Michelle Moody; and 2 grandsons, Brandon and Chase; and his brother, Clinton Lavelle "Tulley" Moody. Limo was a mechanic and of the Protestant faith. Also he enjoyed cooking and working in yards. Survivors include 2 grandsons, Tyler and Shaun Smith; 3 siblings, Shirley M. & Gorden Howard of Hortense, James W. Moody of Brunswick and Kenneth A. Moody of Hortense; 2 nieces, Angie Howard Moran of Jekyll Island and Renee Howard Lane of Brunswick; a nephew, Simon Joe Moody of Brunswick; and also several other relatives. Visitation will be held Tuesday evening (June 28, 2011) starting at 6PM at Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta. A funeral service will be held Wednesday morning (June 29, 2011) at 11AM at Hortense Church of God of Prophecy with Rev. Sammy Spradly and Rev. Tommy Gill officiating. Burial will follow in Satilla Cemetery, Hortense. Pallbearers will be Elbert Flowers, Ross Flowers, Simon Moody, Mark Rowell, Sheldon Rowell, Jerry Strickland and Jimmy David Moody. In lieu of flowers donations can be sent to a trust fund at Southeastern Bank in Shirley Howard's name. Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
