Thomas Stanford Cady, Sr.

Waynesville- Mr. Thomas "Tom" Stanford Cady, Sr., 77, of Waynesville died Tuesday afternoon (June 7, 2011) at the Specialty Hospital in Jacksonville after an extended illness. Born in Douglas, GA his parents were Thomas Newton and Rosie Belle Morgan Cady. He is also preceded in death by several brothers and sisters. Tom was a carpenter and of the Baptist faith. He loved fishing, wood working and spending time with his family. Also he loved his cat, "Tom Cat". Survivors include 4 sons and a daughter-in-law, Paul & Mary Cady, Thomas Edward Cady, Thomas S. Cady, Jr. all of Waynesville and Jimmy H. Cady of Coffee County; 4 daughters and a son-in-law, Casey & Michael Bent of Waynesville, Jamie Lane of Nahunta, Jodi Lane of Jesup and Lisa Lane of Brunswick; 14 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and also several nieces, nephews and other relatives. Visitation will be held Thursday evening (June 9, 2011) starting at 6PM at Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta. A funeral service will be held Friday morning (June 10, 2011) at 11AM at the Chapel of Frye Funeral Home with Rev. Roger Carter officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Olive Cemetery, Waynesville. Pallbearers will be Timothy Daniels, Richard Jack, Adam Daniels, Michael Daniels, Josh Daniels, and Tyler Daniels. Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
