Thomas Stephen Ternest

Hortense-Thomas Stephen Ternest, 56 of Hortense passed away early Sunday morning (February 17, 2013) at his home after a battle with cancer. He was born on October 31, 1956 to the late C.W. and Sarah Taylor Ternest in Waycross, GA. He is also preceded in death by a son, Thomas Stephen Ternest, Jr.; 2 sisters, Susan Henderson of Nahunta, and Doris Waters of Nichols, GA. Thomas was a previous long time employee of Georgia Ports Authority in Brunswick, GA. He is survived by his wife, Lynna Daniels, of Hortense; 4 daughters, Kristy Ternest (Dusty Herrin) and April Smith, both of Patterson, Sarah Ternest, Jessica Anderson (Tim), both of Hortense; a step-daughter, Tiffany Allen (Greg) of Jesup; a step-son, Billy Daniels, Jr., of Waverly; a stepdaughter by a previous marriage, Shonda Henderson, of Hortense; a brother, C.W. "Buddy" Ternest, Jr. (Diane) of Waynesville; 12 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held Thursday (February 21, 2013) at 11 AM, at Frye Funeral Home with Rev. Arley Waters and Rev. Keith Brown officiating. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Hospice of the Golden Isles at 1692 Glynco Parkway Brunswick, GA 31535.
