Vinie Ribron

July 22, 1944 — August 10, 2015

Vinie Kiziah Head Ribron, 71 of Nahunta, passed away Monday morning (August 10, 2015) at her residence following an extended illness. Born in Waverly, GA., her parents were Willie "Bill" Head and Martha Wilson Head. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Elzie Ribron; two infant daughters; daughter, Vinie Kay Ribron; a grandson, Sheldon Rocky Flowers, Jr. "Little Man"; two brothers, Richard Head and David Head; two sisters, Polly Head and Mary Whitley. Vinie was a homemaker and she enjoyed fishing, singing, and her grandchildren. She was of the Baptist Faith. She was known as "Nannie" to all the children who knew her. Survivors include her two sons and daughters-in-law, William and Sheila Rousey, of Waynesville, Richard and Amanda Rousey, of Nahunta; a daughter and son-in-law, Elsie "Sissi" and Rev. Alton Cribb, of Nahunta; five grandchildren, David Rousey (Taylor), Jennifer Rentz (Richard), Cassie Rousey, all of Nahunta, Roxie Flowers, of Hortense, and Dalton Cribb, of Waynesville; three great grandchildren, Trenton Rentz, Ashton Rentz, and Wyatt Rousey; two special nieces, Aubrey Marie Benson and Taylor Lynn Benson; and her best friend Polly Wainright. Also several nieces, nephews, and other relatives. A funeral service will be held Thursday evening (August 13, 2015) at 7PM at Nahunta Church of God with Rev. Jason Marden, Rev. Charles Florey, Rev. Alton Cribb, and Rev. Iane Sastre. Visitation will be held an hour prior to the service, starting at 6PM. Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
