Hoboken – Virginia Maxine Baker Hartman, 88, of Hoboken passed away Wednesday afternoon (May 11, 2022) at Bayview Nursing Home after an extended illness.
Born in Americus, GA her parents were James Dugan Baker and Maxie Lula Burnett Baker. She is preceded in death by her husband, Glenn H. Hartman, Jr.
Virginia was a cake decorator for Piggly Wiggly and of the Pentecostal faith. She loved baking.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Glenn H. Hartman, III (Theresa) of Hoboken; 4 daughters and sons-in-law, Brenda O’Berry of Nahunta, Glenda Farris (Bill) of Nahunta, Linda Carter (Brad) of Hoboken and Cindy Ward (Mike) of Waycross; a sister, JoAnn Nothaft of Pensacola, FL; 13 grandchildren; 32 great grandchildren; 10 great great grandchildren; 5 step grandchildren; 4 step great grandchildren; and also several nieces, nephews, other relative and a host of friends.
Visitation will be held Thursday evening (May 12, 2022) from 6pm – 8pm at Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
A graveside service will be held Friday morning (May 13, 2022) at 11am at High Bluff Cemetery in Hoboken with Rev. Jason Marden officiating.
After the service the family will be meeting at Donnie O’Berry’s residence in Nahunta.
Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
