Vivian Drury

Waynesville- Mrs. Mary Vivian Drury, 76 , of Waynesville died Wednesday evening (May 25, 2011) at her residence after an extended illness. Born in Camden County her parents were Freddie Clayborn and Hettie Lee Pierce Harrell. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Spencer George Drury and 2 brothers, Robert Vernon and Donald Harrell. Vivian was a LPN for Wayne Memorial Hospital in Jesup and a member of Waynesville Missionary Baptist Church. She also enjoyed sewing, craftwork, arranging flowers and was one of the best cooks. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Joe Stanley & Lyn Drury of Waynesville; a daughter, Janice Drury Hannah of Waynesville; 6 grandchildren and their spouses, Joe & Sabrina Drury, Ronald & Jessica Drury, Donald & Robin Drury, Wendy & Paul Welch-Olivares, Christopher and Jessica Drury and Crystal & Will Thomas; several great grandchildren; a brother and sister-in-law, Alfred Eugene & Della Harrell of Yoakum, TX; and also several nieces, nephews and other relatives. Visitation will be held Monday evening (May 30, 2011) starting at 6PM at Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta. A funeral service will be held Tuesday morning (May 31, 2011) at 11AM at the Chapel of Frye Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Harris, Rev. Larry Altman and Rev. Willie Jacobs officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Olive Cemetery, Waynesville. Pallbearers will be Joe Drury, Ronald Drury, Donald Drury, Gene Parker, Christopher Drury and Jim Bo Jones. Honorary pallbearers will be Geneva Thornton, Susan Richards, Laura Lee, Sammy Drury, Burney Linton, Bob Gibson, Bea Roberson, Heartland Hospice and Charlton Visiting Nurses Service of Nahunta.
