Wanda Lee Hummel

Hortense – Our dear mother, Wanda Lee Hummel, of Hortense born November 19, 1960, sadly passed away on December 14, 2022, at the age of 62.

Born in TN her parents are Doris Ann Hilliard of Brunswick and the late Bobby Joe Hilliard. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Wesley Scott Hummel; and 1 sister; and 3 brothers.

Wanda was a homemaker and was a wonderful mother who was always there when we needed her. She enjoyed her plants, art, watching it rain, rocks of all kind kinds, and later took an interest in painting rocks. That began on a trip to New Mexico where she found some painted rocks in the park. Her favorite past time was sitting on the porch enjoying her time with her family and watching animals and listening to everything around her. She was very loved and will be missed terribly.

She is survived by her 3 children, Michael Hummel (April), and Michelle Hummel all of Hortense and Melissa DiAngelo (Gary) of Kingsland; her mother, Doris Hilliard of Brunswick; 9 grandchildren, Taylor, Cameron, Alyssa, Kaitlynn, Alicia, Abby, Megan, Amanda and Gage; 3 great grandchildren, Adalynn, Bradley and Amora; and also several nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
