Warren Jesse Thrift

Nahunta – Warren “Barney” Jesse Thrift, 56, of Nahunta passed away Thursday evening (May 6, 2021) at Savannah Memorial Medical Center after an extended illness.

Born in Waycross, GA his parents are Juanita Herrin Crews of Nahunta and the late Warren Thrift. He is also preceded in death by his brother, Arlin Thrift and his stepfather, Danny Crews.

Barney worked in construction and served in the United States Navy. He enjoyed fishing, riding dirt bikes and playing video games.

Survivors include 2 sons, Barret G. Thrift of Nahunta and Jerrod B. Thrift of North Georgia; his mother, Juanita Crews of Nahunta; his aunts and uncles, Lucille Herrin of Nahunta, Linda & Jerry Herrin of Winokur, Laurel Herrin of Nahunta, Linda & Robert Dowling of Raybon, Jesse Thrift, Evelyn Crews, Jane Thrift & Fred Allbritton all of Riverside; and also several cousins, other relatives and a host of friends.

There will be no services at this time.

Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
