Wayne Brown Fulghum, 83, of Nahunta, passed away Friday night (April 20, 2018) at Haven Hospice of Orange Park, FL. following a brief illness.
Born in Canon, GA., his parents were R.C. and Anna Alewine Fulghum. He is also preceded by a granddaughter, Chelsie Roach; 4 brothers, Ernest, Claude, Gene, and Melvin Fulghum; a sister, Glenda Jordan; and a son-in-law, Rickey Haas.
Mr. Wayne was a member of Riverside Chapel Baptist church. He enjoyed farming, working in his garden, riding the roads, and spending time with his family. He served in the United States Air Force for 6 years, and was discharged in 1959.
Survivors include 2 daughters, Anne Haas and Myra Bryant, both of Nahunta; 6 grandchildren, Tiffany Brown (B.J.), of Waycross, Traci Wittrien, of Folkston, Tricia Schoon (Jack), of San Diego, California, Rickey Haas (Sam), of Nahunta, Adam Haas, of Jesup, and Regan Fitchett (Glen), of Blackshear; 15 Great Grandchildren; and 3 sisters, Emily Wright, of S.C., Janice Adams and Connie Roberson, both of Lavonia, GA. Also, several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and a host of friends.
Visitation will be held Wednesday afternoon (April 25, 2018) from 1 PM -2 PM at Riverside Chapel Baptist Church.
A funeral service will be held Wednesday (April 25, 2018) at 2:00 PM at Riverside Chapel Baptist Church with Rev. Randy Wainright officiating.
Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
