Wayne David Rowell

Homeland – Wayne David Rowell, 80, of Homeland passed away Saturday night (March 12, 2022) at Jesup Health and Rehab after an extended illness.
Born in Hortense, GA his parents were Dave Rowell and Hazel Prescott Rowell. He is also preceded in death by a son, Little David Senters; 2 brothers, Simon Rowell and Bivian Rowell; and a brother-in-law, Donihue Crews.
Wayne was a truck driver for Cypress Truck Lines and loved hunting, fishing, and gardening.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Jo Rowell of Homeland; a daughter, Kathy Rowell (Cozzie Moye) of Odum; 2 brothers and sisters-in-law, Rev. Sheldon Rowell, Sr. (Dell) and Glen Rowell (JoAnn) all of Hortense; a sister, Claryce Crews of Woodbine; 2 sisters-in-law, Patsy Rowell of Baxley and Sandy Rowell of FL; and also several nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
Visitation will be held Friday evening (March 18, 2022) from 6pm – 8pm at Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
