Wesley Hummel

Hortense- Wesley Scott Hummel, 58 of Hortense, passed away Tuesday (April 2, 2019) at Hospice of The Golden Isles, in Brunswick.

Born in Slocomb, Alabama, his parents are Harry Lee Hummel and Patricia Montoya Jolly.

Mr. Hummel worked many years as a roofer. He enjoyed restoring cars, fishing, hunting, and loved his grandchildren and family.

Along with his parents, survivors include his loving wife of 40 years, Wanda Hilliard Hummel, of Hortense; his son and daughter-in-law, Michael Scott and April Hummel, of Hortense; 2 daughters and a son-in-law, Michelle Hummel, of Hortense, and Melissa Marie and Gary DiAngelo, of Jacksonville, FL; 14 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; 3 brothers and a sister-in-law, Raymond and Terry Hummel, Eric Hummel, and David Hummel, all of Artesia, New Mexico; his sister and brother-in-law, Loralea and Tom Highsmith, of Atkinson; and a brother-in-law, Robert Hilliard “Muggs”, of Jesup; mother-in-law, Doris Hilliard, of Hortense. Also several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Visitation will be held Friday (April 5, 2019) from 6PM-8PM at Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
