Wildon N. Sweat

Blackshear- Wildon N. "Tom" Sweat, 64, of Blackshear died early Saturday morning (February 18, 2012) at his residence after an extended illness. Born in Millwood, GA his parents are the late Wildon A. "Bill" Sweat and Juanita Effie Grantham Sweat. He is also preceded in death by a brother, Austin Sweat. Tom was a retired supervisor for Champion International and a Notary. He was a ordained minister of the Baptist faith who loved ministering to others. Also he loved and thought the world of his grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Tom also loved hunting, fishing, his dogs and just being outdoors. Survivors include his wife, Sylvia Aldridge Sweat of Blackshear; 2 sons and a daughter-in-law, Brian & Alicia Sweat and Nathan Sweat of Blackshear; a daughter and son-in-law, Mandy & Jason Conerly of Orange Beach, AL; 3 grandchildren, Briar Conerly, Baylee Clements and Blake Sweat all of Blackshear; Mother, Juanita Sweat of Waycross; 3 brothers and sisters-in-law, Kenny & Mary Sweat, Ladon & Janice Sweat and Steve & Toni Sweat all of Millwood; 4 special great nieces, Jayla Martin, Preslee Aldridge, Alyssa Young and Alley Bowen all of Blackshear; and also several nieces, nephews and other relatives. Visitation will be held Monday afternoon (February 20, 2011) from 2-3PM at Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta. A funeral service will be held Monday afternoon (February 20, 2011) at 3PM at the Chapel of Frye Funeral Home with Rev. Adam Henderson officiating. Memorialization will be by cremation.
