Wiley Trenton Kersey

Hortense- Wiley Trenton Kersey, 85 of Hortense, passed away Tuesday (February 15, 2022) at Memorial Health in Savannah.
Born in Lyons, GA his parents were James Daniel Kersey and Irene Kersey Barber. He was also preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Birdie Ruth Borden Kersey; two brothers, Rufus Kersey and Eddie Kersey; and a sister, Evie Lou Meeks.
Wiley retired after working many years for the Florida Department of Transportation and attended Satilla Missionary Baptist Church. He loved to spend time with his family and visit with friends, everyone he met was a friend. He also enjoyed going to pawn shops and loved old collectable items and tools.
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Mike Kersey (Shawnda), of Hortense and David Kersey (Donna), of Kite, GA; two daughters and sons-in-law, Cathy Lee (Robert), of Kite, GA., Pauline Favreau (Scott), of Ft. Lauderdale; 11 grandchildren, Patrick Woolweaver, Christopher Woolweaver, Eric Kersey, Ashley Kersey Hart, Lenzy Lee, Amy Lee Holton, Zachary Kersey, McKenzy Kersey, Nicole Favreau, Arielle Favreau, and Mikayla Kersey; 9 great grandchildren. Also several nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
A Private Graveside Service will be held.
