White Oak – William Alvin Brant, 72, of White Oak passed away Friday morning (December 22, 2017) at his residence after an extended illness.
Born in Sylvania, GA his parents were William Leo Brant and Selma Godbee Brant. He is preceded in death by his first wife, Sheila Edna Williams Brant; his second wife, Kathy Elaine Head Brant; 2 sisters, Mildred Elizabeth Steed and Beatrice Roberta Williams; and a brother, David Franklin Brant.
Williams was a heavy equipment operator for Camden County Board of Commissioners and was a collector and an avid NASCAR fan.
Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Tony Brant Elaina of Broxton; 3 daughters and a son-in-law, Terri Leanne McDonald (Brian) of Screven, Christine Cecilia Manbeck of Chiefland, FL, and Traci Manbeck of Kingsland; 14 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; a sister, Carolyn Cannon; 3 brothers and sisters-in-law, Leo Brant (Diane) of Screven, Lannie Brant (Janice) of White Oak, and Billy Brant (Lucille) of Woodbine; and also several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service Wednesday (December 27, 2017) from 12PM-1PM at Frye Funeral Home.
A funeral service will be held Wednesday afternoon ( December 27, 2017) at 1PM at the chapel of Frye Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery in St. Mary’s at 4pm.
Pallbearers are Michael Padgett, Scott McDonald, Garrett Grant, Myron Kin, Robert Brant, James Brant, and Russell Hatzke.
Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
