William Arrie Perkins

Jackson-William "Billy" Arrie Perkins,58, of Jackson, GA died early Wednesday morning (July 13, 2011) at the Spalding Regional Hospital in Griffin, GA after an extended illness. Born in Jesup, GA his parents are the late George Lee Perkins and Annie Ruth Rowell Perkins of Hortense. Billy served in the United States Army and retired from Georgia Pacific as a maintenance mechanic. He also loved fishing. Survivors include his wife, Pamela W. Perkins of Jackson, GA; 2 Sons and daughter-in-law, William Alan and Wanda Perkins of Aiken, S.C., and Stephen Dewayne Perkins of Jackson, S.C.; 1 Grandson, Hunter James Perkins; his mother, Annie Ruth Perkins of Hortense; 4 Siblings and their spouse, Bobby Lee and Linda Perkins of San Antonio, TX., Deloris Ann Cook also of San Antonio, TX., David and Shirley Perkins of Hortense., Frankie and Marsha Perkins of Lawrenceville, GA; and also several nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Visitation will be held Saturday afternoon (July 16,2011) from 1-2 PM at Frye Funeral Home , Nahunta. A funeral service will be held Saturday afternoon (July 16,2011) at 2 PM at the Chapel of Frye Funeral Home with the Rev. Carlton Rowell and Rev. Tim Rowell officiating. Memorialization will be by cremation. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Equine Rescue or Humane Society. Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home in Nahunta, GA.
