William 'Bill' Davis Iii

Hortense-William "Bill" Henry Davis III, 59 of Hortense, passed away Wednesday morning (March 18, 2015) at his residence following an extended illness. Born in Jacksonville, FL., his parents were William Henry Davis, Jr. and Sarah Juanita McCullars Davis. He was also preceded in death by 2 sisters, Anne Morgan and Susan Morgan; 2 brothers, Jerry Davis and David "Buddy" Davis. Bill worked many years as a mechanic. He enjoyed fishing and being outdoors, and attended White Oak Pentecostal Church. Survivors include his wife, Deborah Lynn Davis; 7 children, William Henry Davis IV, David Davis, Sherry Strickland, John Floyd, George Floyd, William Underwood, and Derrick Eakins. A host of grandchildren; 2 sisters, Linda Duffy, and Marie Tucker. Also many nieces, nephews, and other relatives. A Funeral Service will be held Friday morning (March 20, 2015) at 11AM at Frye Funeral Home with Rev. Raymond Drury officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
